The Shops & Establishments(Gumsta) Registration

The Shops & Establishment registration(Gumsta) is a state based labour license legislation enacted the respective state in which the shop or establishment set-up, this will helps the State Government to regulate employment work conditions by prescribing payment of wages, opening and closing hours of the shop/establishment and to provide for statutory obligations of the employers with rights of the employees in un-organized sector of employment and to provide minimum benefits and relief to unorganizaed sector employees.

The Shops & Establishments Act registration is applicable, if you are opening a shop or commercial establishment in the respective state. Now you can register your business in india under Shop & Establishment Act 1954. All commercial shop/establishments are compulsorily required to register itself under this Act with the state government’s Labour department within 30 days of commencement of work.
